Addie's Birthday Cake Experience!!!!!

Here are the best pics of the day from beginning with the cake to the end result. She is still a little pink after her bath from this birthday cake experience. It sure was fun!! She loved it!!!! She enjoyed that her cousins, Drew and Kylie called and sang Happy Birthday to her as well. It was so sweet!!!

ADDISON TURNS ONE!!!!

What a wonderful day for Addie's birthday. It could not have been a more perfect or fun-filled day with the sweet little one-year old!! It is bitter sweet too though. I looked at Addie today and could not believe my little baby is growing so fast. These precious moments go so fast and here she is 1 already. I thought I would cry today, I just can not believe she is 1. What a big girl! Yes I know I am a big sap! Sometimes you just realize how wonderful life is and this little darling just makes my life sooo complete.

Well what did we do today? Well we are still at Oak Island Beach and we woke up this morning to playing and breakfast from paw paw. She was loving that! Then we did presents, well lets just say the boxes and wrapping paper were her favorite part. She just wanted to eat everything, I think a new tooth must be coming. I must say Addie's favorite things the last few days are baby dolls. She has fun and tired herself out into a little nap. Then time for more fun. Addie enjoyed her first ferry ride today from Southport to Fort Fisher. She had a blast!!! Then we were off to the NC Aquarium to see some fishies. Fun times!! From there we did some brief shopping and then off to dinner. We went to the Yacht Club Provisional Restaurant (or some name like that), it is an outside seafood joint and it was good food and Addie enjoyed her favorite, chicken tenders. (It seems like just yesterday we were all baby food, but no no we are completely on big girl food now. She has done so good with that transition over the last few months.) Anyway, the waitresses announced that there two ladies at another table who were celebrating a birthday so could everyone sing with them, well of course we had to explain we had a birthday too. So everyone sang to Addie and these other two ladies. Fun times! We then came home for the best part, the birthday cake. Wow did she have fun and what a mess. Her face is still tinted pink from the icing and yes this is after a bath. And now she is soundly asleep from exhaustion. And so is everyone else, but her mommy writing a blog about our day. Well here are some fun pics. We return home tomorrow and will have visitors just a few hours later. We can not wait to see my mom, Krysta, and the little ones.

Addie's Last Day at Zero!!!

Here are some pics of Addie at the beach today. She opened up more presents today, she got her first real baby doll and some rain boots. She just loved the baby and was excited when she opened it. She loves to eat the rain boots too! we played on the beach in a little lake made from the high tide and she had some real fun!We had a big day! Addie is fighting naps during this vacation as she can not miss a thing. She is somehow staying in a great mood with little sleep. Here are some pics!

Addie's Big Day Tomorrow!

Well, Addie's first birthday is tomorrow. I can not believe that my little baby will be one! Agh! It goes so fast. In honor of her big day, here are some pics to remember the last year! Enjoy! We are on vacation presently at the beach so I will be sure to post pictures tomorrow on the big day of her activities including opening presents, playing on the beach, and birthday cake!!! Then we come home on Thursday and Addie's Grammy, Aunt Krysta, and her cousins- Allie and Lexie arrive. We are so excited to see them and to celebrate Addie's birthday with the big bash this Sunday.

Burch Family Beach Trip

Well, we are at the beach with the Burch family again for a little get away. Yes, some of you are thinking that we have already been to the beach with the Burch family and you are correct, but this is a second trip. We went in August to Ocean Isle with the whole Burch family, but this time it is just the immediate family and Chuck's Uncle Gary and Aunt Pam to Oak Island. We arrived on Saturday and we will stay until Thursday when Chuck, Addie, and I return home to get ready for the big birthday bash!!! Oh and Addie's grammy, Aunt Krysta, and her two cousins will arrive that day. YEAH! Addie will be 1 on Wednesday (9/24/08)! Can you believe it! Well I have been busy snapping pictures to cherish those last little moments of her being a little tiny baby or as my nephew says of her being 0. That just cracks me up that he says she is zero. Well here are some pictures. She is loving the wagon on the beach, aka graden cart/ wagon that her paw paw and nanu bought her to work on the beach. She has strolled in it, napped in it, and it works great to carry all of her gear to and from the house. The weather is good, but the water is too cold for ocean going. Addie has been opening a little present each day and she is getting used to this opening present thing. Here are some pics!!!
